 The Nepal Library Foundation (NLF) was conceived in 2004 in Vancouver, Canada by a group of people committed to improving public library resources in Nepal.
In March 2005, it was granted charitable status by Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency. The NLF intends to support existing public libraries and the development of new ones. By its charter, it can only supply resorces such as reading material, infrstructure (e.g. computers) or services. POA Educational Foundation's donation to the NLF will be directed towards these objectives. Presently, all the activities of the NLF are carried out by volunteers and at least 95% of donations go directly to the libraries.
