"Tribute to Mandela" in Support of Nelson Mandela Childrens Fund Canada

ImageThe foundation sponsored the event: A Tribute to Nelson Mandela in support of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (Canada) presented by Ryerson University on October 17th 2007, 8:00 PM at Ryerson Theatre, 43 Gerrard St. E. The event included a reception and Canadian premier of film "Mandela, Son of Africa, Father of a Nation". The screening was sold out (over 1000 guests).

UNICEF Canada India HIV/AIDS Campaign

ImageUNICEF Canada seeks to raise a minimum of $3 million for India HIV/AIDS projects over the next 24 months, as part of its $25 million Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS Campaign. The foundation has commitmented $25,000 for this campaign and Aditya is cahring this fundraising campaign.

Celebrating Canadian Cinema with Toronto International Film Festival Group

ImageFilm Circuit, a division of the Toronto International Film Festival Group, recently toured four Canadian films with guests to Mumbai, India and for the first time to Kathmandu, Nepal, beginning January 18. The films were Aubrey Nealon's A SIMPLE CURVE, Sarah Polley's AWAY FROM HER, Bernard ?mond's LA NEUVAINE, and Michael McGowan's SAINT RALPH. Guests included Film Circuit Director and founder Cam Haynes, and the Honourable Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario. Director Aubrey Nealon (A SIMPLE CURVE) and actor Shauna MacDonald (SAINT RALPH) also attended screenings of their films.

Zoroastrian Society of Ontario

Image The primary goal of the Zoroastrian Society of Ontario (ZSO) is to have a place of worship, where all Zoroastrians can congregate and preserve the culture and traditions of this ancient religion.

POA Foundation has contributed to the Building Campaign Committee of ZSO making a small communities dream becoming a reality.

Building Liberal Democratic Nepal

In Nepal as elsewhere, prosperity and economic development depend on peace, freedom, good governance, political stability and peopleâ??s participation. A well functioning democracy prepares the ground for prosperity by ensuring economic and political freedom. POA Foundation believes that a free, peaceful, and democratic Nepal is in the best interest of all. POA Foundation supports partnership to promote broad-ranging dialogue and discussion among Nepali and non-Nepali scholars and practitioners on issues relating to the transformation of the state, economic and political freedom, politics, economics, and social institutions in Nepal in a way that addresses key long-term issues for the betterment of the people of Nepal.
